"Autodoc: A Mixed Bag Experience"
Let’s kick things off with the good stuff: they’ve got a HUGE selection, a speedy website, quick shipping, and decent prices. Plus, their customer service is pretty prompt and polite.
Now, here’s where things get tricky. I ordered a rear wiper arm for my Citroen C2 using their part search tool. A few days later, the part showed up, but guess what? It was for a Citroen C1, not my C2. I reached out to customer support, but if you don’t shell out an extra €6 for ‘safe ordering,’ you’re stuck paying for the return shipping yourself—even though they kinda admitted their database was off since they updated the compatibility list to remove the C2 just a day or two after I complained.
I won’t even get into how many photos they wanted to prove the part didn’t fit. It was a real hassle. They wanted the original part next to the new one (which I couldn’t do since it was missing), and then they said the picture wasn’t clear enough. They kept asking for different angles and wanted the original part in the frame, which was still MIA, you know?
The second wiper arm, which their tech team was *sure* would fit, also didn’t work out, so I had to go through the whole photo circus again to get the RMA. On the bright side, Autodoc did eventually take both parts back, and the refund came through pretty quickly (even if they tried to push store credit on me, which I wasn’t having).
I initially posted this review under autodoc.de because, honestly, there’s really just one major online car parts retailer in Europe, and the different sites (like autonvaraosat24) are just variations or subsidiaries—often with multiple ones in each country. My packages were all marked Autodoc, the PayPal payment went to Autodoc, and the address on the invoice and customer service email were all Autodoc too.
Autodoc complained to Trustpilot, claiming I hadn’t ordered from autodoc.de, so they wanted my review taken down. While that’s technically correct, it doesn’t change the fact that the company behind all these sites is the same. Trustpilot seemed to think that was enough reason to ask me to move my review.
In short, my rating would jump from 2 to 4 stars if: Autodoc didn’t get all picky about which site I ordered from; they were quicker to own up to their mistakes and made the photo process less of a headache; and if they stood by their compatibility checker a bit more instead of shifting blame when things go wrong.

"Improving Shipping Info for Orders"
When placing orders, it’d be great to have better details about shipping. The timing can really differ. If you’re not in a rush, ordering is fine.
If there’s a need to swap items, customers should be notified and give the thumbs up first. Right now, it seems like replacements happen without any heads-up.
